Hugh W. Long PhD, the current President of the Board of Trustees of the LPO, a position he has held since 2001, was recently elected to the Board of Directors of the League of American Orchestras, a nearly 1,000-member national organization.

Hugh’s passion for orchestral music, expertise, and dynamic energy will be put to great use on our board, which is deeply committed to guiding and supporting America’s orchestras.”

Dr. Long is a Professor of Health Systems Management and Adjunct Professor of Law at Tulane University, and a member of the Board of Trustees of LCMC, Inc., the parent of Touro Infirmary and Children’s Hospital in New Orleans.
